88 Years: The return of Glebe’s Dirty Reds

All Video, Documentary, Sport

A short film about the life, death and rebirth of Australia’s first rugby league team, Glebe Rugby League Football club.

In this self-produced documentary, I directed, shot and edited this film from February 2018 to June 2018.

It was shot during a live match at Sydney’s Wentworth Park as well as locations around Glebe. However, telling a story that began in 1908 proved challenging with few photographs and zero footage available from the era. This was overcome through the use of graphics, archival newspaper material as well as stylistic choices within the edit.

It first appeared online at Fox Sports with an accompanying article here.
